Since joining UNIDO in 2012, SunYoung designed and implemented sustainable energy projects and programs with a geographic focus in sub-Saharan Africa. Her current areas of work include the promotion of cleantech innovation ecosystems in developing and emerging economies, providing strategic support for international energy and climate initiatives, and coordinating partnership engagements with governments and the private sector. Prior to joining UNIDO, she worked on environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation issues at the Asian Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainability, the Global Climate Finance Project at New York University, and the Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute.
