Since 2019, Raphael Friedl is managing director of the tech2b Inkubator GmbH, one of the largest startup centres in Austria. His mission is to bring even more of the excellent research results in universities out into society, to form growth-capable companies from them, to network them with the established players in the domestic economy and thus to establish the new leading companies of the future. He has been with the company since 2013, headed the scale-up start-up program for many years and gained experience in building start-ups and financing young companies. He started his career in industrial R&D at Robert Bosch AG in Linz. He then moved to CATT Innovation Management, where he worked as a project manager, advising local companies on the planning and financing of their innovation projects. Raphael Friedl was born in Salzburg, is the father of Anton and Clara and studied social economics at the JKU and innovation management at the LIMAK Austrian Business School.
